Teleflex to Acquire Standard Bariatrics for ~$300M
Shots:
- Teleflex to acquire Standard Bariatrics for $170M up front & ~$130M upon achievement of commercial milestones. The acquisition is expected to be completed early in Q4’22
- The acquisition allows Teleflex to expand existing bariatric surgeon call point with a differentiated product using stapling technology & also complement surgical products incl. ligation portfolio, MiniLap Percutaneous surgical system, and Weck EFx fascial closure portfolio
- Standard Bariatrics’ Titan SGS stapler helps surgeons achieve consistent and symmetrical sleeve pouch anatomy & allows surgeons to place it in one firing, minimizes variability to use of multiple short-cartridge staple firings. The device’s design can result in a more secure staple line with fewer chances of leaks
